Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Reader in Computer Science, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the academic landscape of the department.
- Deliver engaging undergraduate and postgraduate lectures in Computer Science and related fields.
- Supervise undergraduate and graduate student research projects, theses, and dissertations.
- Conduct high-impact, peer-reviewed research and publish in reputable local and international journals.
- Provide academic leadership in curriculum development, departmental administration, and mentoring junior faculty members.
- Contribute to community service and institutional development initiatives aligned with the university's core values.
Candidates must meet the rigorous academic and professional standards required for this senior cadre position.
- Must hold a PhD in Computer Science or a closely related discipline.
- Minimum of seven (7) years of post-PhD academic teaching and research experience in a recognized tertiary institution.
- Must have served as a Senior Lecturer for at least two (2) years prior to this application.
- A robust academic portfolio comprising a minimum of twenty (20) scholarly publications in reputable journals.
- Demonstrated evidence of administrative capability, academic leadership, and strong moral character.
