About the Role
Scruples Resources is currently recruiting an experienced and qualified Radiographer Level IIC to join our dynamic team supporting various sectors of the Nigerian economy. In this vital role, you will ensure the structural integrity of critical industrial components through advanced non-destructive testing methodologies while strictly adhering to safety and quality regulations.
Key Responsibilities- Perform industrial radiographic testing of welds, castings, piping, and pressure vessels to detect internal defects using X-ray and gamma-ray equipment.
- Select appropriate radiographic techniques, exposure parameters, films, digital detectors, and image quality indicators.
- Establish restricted areas, warning signs, barriers, and radiation safety measures during operations.
- Process and evaluate radiographic images, interpreting results against applicable codes, standards, and acceptance criteria.
- Maintain accurate records, prepare detailed technical reports, and communicate results to QA/QC inspectors, engineers, and clients.
- Ensure all radiation sources, survey meters, and dosimeters are properly inspected, maintained, and compliant with safety guidelines.
- Technical Diploma, HND, or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Physical Sciences, or a related technical discipline.
- Valid ASNT, PCN, ISO 9712, or equivalent Radiographic Testing certification at Level II/IIC.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant industrial radiography experience within oil and gas, petrochemical, or fabrication environments.
- Strong working knowledge of international codes and standards such as ASME, API, AWS, and ASTM.
- Thorough understanding of radiation protection principles, safe source handling, and emergency procedures.
