About the Role
Scruples Resources, a premier Nigerian consultancy and human resource solutions provider, is seeking a dedicated and competent professional for the position of Radio Operation Services. In this vital role, you will ensure seamless and secure communication for offshore, onshore, marine, drilling, and construction operations. You will be instrumental in maintaining safety standards, supporting emergency response teams, and coordinating daily field activities through reliable radio systems.
Key Responsibilities- Operate and maintain VHF, UHF, and HF radio communication systems to support safe industrial, marine, and offshore operations.
- Monitor assigned radio channels, maintaining continuous contact with field personnel, vessels, aircraft, and control rooms.
- Transmit and receive clear, accurate communications while maintaining detailed operational logs and call records.
- Conduct routine checks on radios, antennas, batteries, and repeaters to identify and troubleshoot communication faults promptly.
- Support emergency response and incident management activities by maintaining reliable communication channels during critical operations.
- Enforce strict confidentiality and adherence to company procedures, regulatory telecommunications standards, and HSE requirements.
- OND, HND, or Bachelor’s Degree in Telecommunications, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated experience in radio operations, telecommunications, or marine/aviation communications within industrial environments.
- Strong working knowledge of two-way radios, base stations, repeaters, and frequency management protocols.
- Exceptional communication, reporting, and record-keeping skills with the ability to remain calm under high-pressure situations.
- Willingness to work in shifts across onshore, offshore, marine, or remote operational locations in Nigeria.
