About the Role

Godfrey Okoye University Teaching Hospital (GOUNITH), formerly Ntasi Obi Hospital, is a premier university teaching hospital standing at the vibrant intersection of research, education, and patient care. We are currently seeking a dedicated and professional Radiographer to join our dynamic Radiology department. In this role, you will play a crucial part in delivering exceptional, compassionate diagnostic imaging services while contributing to the training of the next generation of healthcare leaders in a multidisciplinary environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform high-quality diagnostic radiographic examinations in accordance with hospital standards and safety protocols.
  • Operate and maintain complex medical imaging equipment, ensuring proper calibration and patient safety at all times.
  • Collaborate effectively with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals within a multidisciplinary team to ensure accurate diagnoses.
  • Maintain comprehensive and confidential patient records, adhering strictly to hospital data protection policies.
  • Ensure compliance with radiation safety standards and regulatory guidelines set by relevant health authorities.
  • Provide empathetic care and clear instructions to patients before, during, and after imaging procedures to alleviate anxiety.
  • Participate in continuous professional development, departmental meetings, and academic research initiatives within the teaching hospital.

Qualifications
  • Possess a B.Sc degree in Radiography from a recognized institution.
  • Must be duly registered with the Radiographer Registration Board of Nigeria (RRBN) and possess a valid current practicing license.
  • Minimum of 3 years of cognate post-qualification experience in a clinical healthcare setting.
  • Must possess a valid NYSC discharge certificate or exemption letter.
  • Demonstrated ICT compliance and proficiency in modern hospital information systems.
  • Exhibit high levels of integrity, excellent interpersonal communication skills, and professional competence.
