About the Role

Racham Humanitarian Academy, an initiative of the Racham Empowerment and Humanitarian Foundation (REHF), is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Matron / Home Manager to join our residential community in Abuja. In this vital role, you will provide a nurturing, safe, and structured environment for orphans and vulnerable children participating in our free basic education and youth empowerment programs. Working collaboratively with our dedicated staff and international partners, you will play a central role in shaping the daily lives and holistic development of our students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the daily operations and general upkeep of the residential facility to ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment.
  • Monitor the health, hygiene, and overall well-being of the students, coordinating medical care when necessary.
  • Provide emotional support, guidance, and mentorship to children, fostering a positive and inclusive living space.
  • Manage daily routines, including meal times, study periods, and recreational activities.
  • Collaborate with academy administrators, educators, and external partners to support student development plans.
  • Maintain accurate records regarding student welfare, inventory, and facility needs.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.), Bachelor of Arts in Education (B.A.Ed.), Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.), or a related field.
  • Must be completely fluent in the English language, both written and spoken.
  • Demonstrated experience working with children, youths, or in a residential facility management role.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • High level of empathy, patience, and dedication to humanitarian causes.
