About the Role
Racham Humanitarian Academy, an educational initiative by the Racham Empowerment and Humanitarian Foundation (REHF), is looking for a dedicated and inspiring Mathematics Teacher to join our team in Abuja. Operating alongside esteemed international partners like World Challenge, our academy is committed to providing free basic education and practical skills training to orphans, vulnerable children, and youths across Nigeria. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in shaping young minds, fostering a love for numbers, and empowering the next generation with critical thinking skills necessary to break the generational cycle of poverty.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging, comprehensive, and interactive mathematics lessons tailored to the diverse learning needs of students.
- Develop and implement innovative lesson plans aligned with the academy's educational standards and curriculum.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and extra support to struggling learners.
- Create a positive, inclusive, and safe classroom environment that encourages active participation and critical thinking.
- Collaborate with fellow educators and administrative staff to design impactful youth empowerment and academic programs.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, performance, and academic growth.
- Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.), Bachelor of Arts in Education (B.A.Ed.), or Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Mathematics or a related field.
- Exceptional fluency in the English language, both written and spoken.
- Previous teaching experience in a formal or humanitarian educational setting is a distinct advantage.
- Strong passion for youth empowerment, community development, and humanitarian work.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and classroom management skills.
- Must be based in Abuja or willing to relocate.
