About the Role

Key Responsibilities- Assist in the preparation of preliminary cost estimates, cost plans, and bills of quantities for university construction projects.
- Conduct site measurements, valuation of works, and preparation of interim payment certificates for contractors.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers to review project specifications and tender documents.
- Assist in the evaluation of tenders, negotiation of contracts, and preparation of contract documentation.
- Monitor project expenditures and prepare regular cost-control reports for management review.
- Ensure compliance with relevant building codes, standards, and financial regulations in all assigned projects.
- A good honours degree not below Second Class (Lower Division) in Quantity Surveying from a recognized institution.
- Alternatively, a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Quantity Surveying not below Lower Credit.
- Mandatory possession of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) discharge certificate or exemption letter.
- Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills with proficiency in relevant estimation software.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
