About the Role
Fountain University, established by NASFAT, is dedicated to academic excellence and moral development. We are currently looking for a talented and driven Engineer II (Civil/Building) to join our dynamic Directorate of Works and Physical Planning. This role plays a vital part in maintaining, developing, and expanding our campus infrastructure to provide an enabling environment for learning, research, and service to humanity.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise ongoing civil and building construction projects on campus to ensure compliance with architectural designs and safety standards.
- Prepare comprehensive engineering reports, cost estimates, and tender documents for infrastructural developments.
- Conduct regular facility inspections and coordinate prompt maintenance and repair works across university buildings.
- Ensure adherence to relevant Nigerian building codes, environmental regulations, and institutional quality guidelines.
- Collaborate with external contractors, consultants, and internal stakeholders to deliver projects within budget and schedule.
- Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) in Civil Engineering or Building Technology with a minimum of a Second Class Lower Division.
- Current and valid registration with COREN and/or the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE).
- Demonstrated knowledge of modern construction techniques, project management software, and structural analysis.
