About the Role
Fountain University, owned by the Nasrul-Lahi-Il-Fatih Society of Nigeria (NASFAT), is a premier institution committed to academic excellence, character-building, and service to humanity. We are currently looking for a qualified and motivated Higher Technical Officer to support our campus infrastructure and maintenance projects.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and monitor ongoing civil and building construction projects on campus to ensure compliance with architectural designs and engineering standards.
- Conduct regular facility inspections and coordinate prompt maintenance, repairs, and renovations of university buildings and infrastructure.
- Prepare accurate technical reports, cost estimates, bills of quantities, and material schedules for various department projects.
- Collaborate with contractors, artisans, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely and cost-effective execution of building works.
- Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations across all institutional construction and maintenance sites.
- Possession of a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Civil Engineering, Building Technology, or a related field with a minimum of Lower Credit.
- Demonstrated practical knowledge of modern construction techniques, building materials, and site management practices.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and structural specifications.
- Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and effective communication skills.
