About the Role
Efficacy Construction Company, a leading player in Nigerian real estate and building development, is looking for a dedicated and results-driven Quantity Surveyor to join our professional team in Victoria Island, Lagos. In this vital role, you will ensure effective cost management, robust contract administration, and meticulous project monitoring to help us deliver exceptional residential and commercial estates on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities- Review project documentation, including scopes of work, drawings, preambles, and technical specifications.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates and comprehensive Bills of Quantities (BOQs) covering materials, labour, and overheads.
- Liaise with site teams to certify completed works and facilitate timely subcontractor valuations and payments.
- Manage contracts, negotiate pricing with suppliers, and ensure full compliance with agreed terms and conditions.
- Identify potential financial risks, evaluate change orders, and propose proactive mitigation strategies.
- Assess project designs for cost-effectiveness, suggesting value engineering alternatives without compromising quality.
- Conduct regular site inspections, track material utilization, and support weekly progress reporting.
- Develop and implement strategic procurement plans to drive cost reductions and operational efficiencies.
- Minimum of a BSc or HND in Quantity Surveying with at least 5 years of proven construction industry experience.
- Must be a fully Registered Quantity Surveyor.
- Demonstrated expertise in contract administration, negotiation, and vendor management.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and industry-standard quantity surveying software.
