Key Responsibilities- Prepare detailed Bills of Quantities (BOQs) and cost estimates from the conceptual stage through to construction documentation for new builds, renovations, and fit-outs.
- Conduct weekly valuations of ongoing projects, measure completed works, and certify project progress.
- Manage procurement processes by preparing tender documents, scheduling, and obtaining competitive quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
- Review payment requests from site builders, engineers, vendors, and subcontractors, verifying completed work before payment recommendations.
- Identify and prequalify new material suppliers, skilled artisans, and specialist subcontractors to maintain resource quality.
- Engage with clients and consultants during valuation meetings, preparing interim valuations and final accounts.
- Implement cost optimization and value engineering strategies to reduce construction expenses without compromising quality.
- B.Sc. or HND in Quantity Surveying.
- Membership in the Nigerian Institute of Quantity Surveyors (Graduate or Corporate Member).
- Registration with the Quantity Surveyors Registration Board of Nigeria is an added advantage.
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant post-graduate experience, including background in both consultancy and construction or design-build firms.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Project, AutoCAD drawing interpretation, and industry estimation software such as CostX or Cubit.
- Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects concurrently while maintaining high accuracy standards.
