About the Role
Reliable Steel & Plastic Ind. Ltd., a trusted name in high-quality manufacturing since 1998, is seeking a skilled and proactive Mechanical Engineer to join our expanding team in Rivers State. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the installation, routine maintenance, and repair of our advanced soybean processing plant and agricultural machinery, ensuring optimal production efficiency and minimal operational downtime.
Key Responsibilities- Direct and execute preventive and corrective maintenance for soybean processing units including extruders, crushers, conveyors, and sorting equipment.
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain heavy farm equipment, tractors, power tools, and auxiliary mechanical systems.
- Diagnose equipment breakdowns quickly and implement efficient engineering solutions to maintain continuous operational uptime.
- Track mechanical spares, manage spare parts inventory, and recommend necessary component replacements.
- Enforce strict health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards across all machinery maintenance and plant operations.
- Bachelor's degree (B.Sc., B.Eng.) or HND in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant agricultural engineering discipline.
- 3 to 5 years of proven professional track record in operating, troubleshooting, and maintaining soybean processing plants and farm machinery.
- Resident in Rivers State or environs, or genuinely willing to relocate immediately.
- Deep technical expertise in hydraulics, pneumatics, gear systems, heavy diesel engines, and automated processing machinery.
- Strong diagnostic skills, hands-on mechanical aptitude, and ability to handle high-pressure repair scenarios smoothly.
