About the Role

Enyimba Economic City (EEC) is a 9,464-hectare Work, Live, Learn, and Play City designed as a sustainable, environmentally conscious economic hub in Southeast and South-South Nigeria. Operating as a Special Economic Zone under the Federal Government's MINE programme with Free Trade Zone status, we are driving regional development through industrialization. We are seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic team and drive cost efficiency across our landmark infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare preliminary and detailed cost estimates, Bills of Quantities (BOQ), and material/labour schedules.
  • Provide value engineering recommendations and reconcile material supply with central stores.
  • Prepare and review contract documents, advise on cost implications, and assist with subcontractor negotiations.
  • Monitor project costs, prepare interim valuations and payment certificates, and evaluate variations and claims.
  • Track project expenditures, deliver monthly cost reports and forecasts, and ensure strict financial compliance.
  • Prepare final project accounts, reconcile total costs, and document valuable cost-saving lessons learned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or a closely related field.
  • Active professional membership with the Nigerian Institute of Quantity Surveyors (NIQS), RICS, or equivalent bodies.
  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant post-graduation experience in large-scale construction or infrastructure projects.
  • Demonstrated expertise in construction contracts, cost management, and contract negotiation.
  • Advanced proficiency in industry-standard cost estimation software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Exceptional analytical, numerical, attention-to-detail, and communication skills.
