Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the development and execution of category strategies for drilling, completions, and subsurface goods and services to align with corporate objectives.
  • Identify and qualify local and international vendors, ensuring strict adherence to Nigerian Content (NOGICD) requirements.
  • Support contract negotiations and management for drilling rigs, well completion services, downhole tools, and subsurface materials.
  • Conduct market analysis and cost benchmarking to optimize spending and support strategic procurement decisions.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering and operational teams to gather technical specifications and operational needs.
  • Monitor supplier performance to ensure high quality and compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards.
  • Maintain accurate procurement data and reporting while assisting with budget planning and cost control for the DCS category.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering, Drilling Engineering, Subsea or Mechanical Engineering, Petrophysics, Geosciences, or a related discipline.
  • Postgraduate qualification (MSc or MBA) in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or Engineering Management is an advantage.
  • Professional certifications such as CIPS, APICS/CPIM, or PMI are highly valued.
  • Minimum of 3 years of upstream oil and gas experience focusing on drilling, completions, or subsurface operations.
  • Proven expertise in strategic sourcing, supplier management, and contract negotiation within a regulated E&P environment.
  • Familiarity with ERP procurement systems like SAP or Oracle and working knowledge of cost engineering.
