About the Role
Palton Morgan Holdings is a leading real estate and construction conglomerate comprising renowned member companies such as Propertymart Real Estate Investment, Grenadines Homes, and Mitcherutti Contractors. We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to join our growing commercial team in Nigeria. The successful candidate will play a critical role in managing all cost-related aspects of our residential and commercial developments, ensuring optimal financial returns across multiple high-value projects.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare detailed cost estimates, bills of quantities (BoQ), and tender documentation for large-scale residential and commercial real estate projects.
- Conduct thorough feasibility studies, cost-in-use analyses, and support strategic investment decisions.
- Manage the full procurement cycle, including contractor pre-qualification, bid evaluation, and competitive contract negotiations.
- Administer contracts in accordance with standard forms such as NEC, FIDIC, or JCT, ensuring strict compliance.
- Assess and certify contractor interim payment applications, evaluate variations, and agree on final accounts with stakeholders.
- Monitor project budgets, identify cost variances, and produce accurate monthly cost reports and cash flow forecasts.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers to drive value engineering initiatives and cost-saving measures.
- B.Sc. or HND in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline from a recognized institution.
- Mandatory membership of the Nigerian Institute of Quantity Surveyors (NIQS); RICS membership is an added advantage.
- Minimum of 5 years of post-qualification quantity surveying experience within the Nigerian real estate or construction sector.
- Proven track record of managing pre-contract and post-contract duties for projects valued above 500 million Naira.
- Proficiency in industry-standard estimation software such as CostX, Candy, and AutoCAD for accurate quantity take-offs.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for complex cost modelling and financial analysis.
- Strong understanding of Nigerian building regulations, construction market rates, and high professional integrity.
