About the Role
Dexterous Applied Training Institute (DATI) is an industry-certified Training and Consultancy Institute dedicated to closing skill gaps across Nigeria's oil and gas, manufacturing, and energy sectors. We are currently seeking a skilled, hands-on Maintenance & Equipment Technician in Lagos to ensure the peak operational availability and safety of our technical training machinery and facilities. In this vital role, you will execute preventive maintenance, conduct mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, service HVAC systems, and manage workshop tools to guarantee seamless practical training sessions.
Key Responsibilities- Execute routine preventive and corrective maintenance schedules across mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation assets.
- Diagnose and repair power systems, machinery faults, and simulator breakdowns promptly.
- Calibrate measuring tools, testing simulators, and laboratory apparatus according to strict industry specifications.
- Perform comprehensive HVAC repairs, electrical troubleshooting, and facility instrumentation checks.
- Maintain an accurate register of workshop tools, spare parts, and consumables while managing inventory levels.
- Enforce strict workshop safety protocols and supervise maintenance assistants and apprentices.
- Minimum of an OND, Trade Test (I, II, III), or Apprenticeship Certification in Mechanical, Electrical, or Instrumentation Engineering.
- At least 3 years of hands-on practical experience in industrial equipment maintenance and diagnostics.
- Proven expertise in instrument calibration, HVAC repairs, and technical troubleshooting.
- Strong commitment to workshop safety standards, asset management, and meticulous record-keeping.
- Ability to respond swiftly to technical issues and work collaboratively across departments.
