About the Role
Jeroid Ltd is a leading Nigerian fintech company expanding our footprint into property development and construction-related operations. We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for cost planning, budgeting, procurement, contract administration, valuation, and financial control across various property development and renovation projects, ensuring that all initiatives are delivered within approved budgets and timelines.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare detailed cost estimates, Bills of Quantities (BOQs), budgets, and comprehensive project cost plans.
- Conduct accurate quantity take-offs and measurement of construction works.
- Prepare and review tender documents, contractor quotations, and evaluate bids for optimal contractor selection.
- Monitor project expenditure, prepare interim valuations, payment certificates, and final accounts.
- Review variations, claims, and additional works to assess financial implications.
- Conduct market research on construction materials, labor, and service costs to support procurement and vendor negotiations.
- Conduct site visits to verify completed work and materials used while collaborating closely with architects, engineers, and contractors.
- Maintain accurate financial documentation and prepare regular cost reports for management.
- Bachelor's degree or HND in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in quantity surveying, construction, or property development.
- Strong knowledge of construction measurement, BOQ preparation, and contract administration.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and relevant quantity surveying software.
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Professional certification or membership such as QSRBN or NIQS is a distinct advantage.
