About the Role
White Crust Limited is seeking a dynamic and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the contractual and financial side of construction projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Key Responsibilities- Prepare detailed cost estimates for projects, considering labour, materials, and overhead costs by reviewing project scopes and specifications.
- Liaise with site construction teams to finalize and certify actual physical work done, facilitating accurate subcontractor payments.
- Identify potential financial risks and develop proactive strategies to mitigate them effectively.
- Assess project designs for cost-effectiveness, proposing alternative solutions that maintain structural and aesthetic quality.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, ensure contract adherence, and track material usage.
- Prepare, evaluate, and manage tender documents while negotiating contracts with suppliers and subcontractors.
- Develop and implement innovative procurement strategies to drive cost reductions and process simplification.
- Supervise storekeepers and oversee the efficient receipt, storage, and issuance of materials on-site.
- B.Sc or HND in Quantity Surveying from a recognized institution.
- Must be a fully Registered Quantity Surveyor.
- 3 to 5 years of professional work experience, with previous supervisory experience being a strong added advantage.
- Demonstrated expertise in construction procurement and contract administration.
- In-depth, sound knowledge of modern construction methodologies and materials.
