About the Role

International Facilities Services Limited (IFS) is a leading global facilities management company delivering cost-effective, end-to-end hard and soft maintenance solutions. Through our partnership with FSI UK and advanced CAFM platforms, we maintain world-class standards for a wide range of clients. We are currently looking for a skilled Plumber to maintain, inspect, and repair our site's comprehensive water infrastructure, including treatment plants, boreholes, and pressure systems in a 24/7 operational environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out scheduled preventive planned maintenance (PPM) and corrective repairs on general plumbing systems, pipework, fixtures, fittings, and drainage.
  • Monitor and maintain boreholes, pumps, pressure management systems, and water storage tanks to ensure a steady water supply.
  • Support daily operations, maintenance, filtration, and chemical dosing for both Water Treatment Plants (WTP) and Sewage Treatment Plants (STP).
  • Diagnose and repair leaks, blockages, and pipework faults promptly to minimize disruption and water loss.
  • Perform routine water quality and compliance checks in line with NESREA and NAFDAC regulatory standards.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance logs and defect reports using the facility's CMMS/CAFM platform.
  • Respond promptly to plumbing and water-system emergency call-outs, including out-of-hours coverage when required.
  • Adhere strictly to safe isolation, permit-to-work, and chemical handling procedures at all times.
Qualifications
  • OND, HND, or Trade Certificate in Plumbing, Mechanical Engineering, Water/Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3 to 6 years of hands-on experience in commercial or industrial plumbing, pressure systems, and water storage infrastructure.
  • Working knowledge or willingness to learn WTP and STP operations, filtration, and biological treatment processes.
  • Strong fault-finding, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills with a safety-first approach.
  • Comfortable using CMMS/CAFM software for logging maintenance activities.
  • Willingness to work shifts, be on standby, and respond to emergency call-outs.
  • Physically fit and able to work in industrial plant rooms and confined spaces.
