About the Role

Through our partnership with FSI (FM) UK and the use of the award-winning Concept automation systems, we ensure continuous process improvement and exceptional service delivery for our clients. We are currently looking for a dedicated Lift Operator to oversee our vertical transportation systems and maintain the highest safety and operational standards.
Key Responsibilities- Operate and monitor passenger lifts, dumbwaiter elevators, and stage/theatrical elevators during daily operations and events to ensure safe and smooth service.
- Carry out daily visual and functional checks including door operation, call button response, and emergency alarm functions.
- Provide prompt first-line response to lift faults, entrapments, or breakdowns, following established emergency escalation procedures.
- Perform basic mechanical and electrical fault-finding within your competence and safely isolate equipment where necessary.
- Support certified lift maintenance subcontractors during scheduled preventative maintenance visits, compliance inspections, and repairs.
- Maintain accurate logs of lift usage, faults, and callouts using the facility's CMMS/CAFM platform.
- Ensure lift compliance certificates and safety notices are visibly displayed and current at all times.
- OND, HND, or Trade Certificate in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- 2 to 4 years of hands-on experience operating or supporting maintenance for passenger lifts and vertical transportation equipment.
- Working knowledge of lift control panels, door systems, and basic electrical or mechanical fault-finding.
- Strong understanding of lift safety systems and a strict commitment to never bypassing safety interlocks or arrestor devices.
- Ability to remain calm, methodical, and decisive under pressure during emergency situations or entrapments.
- Willingness to work flexible shifts, be on standby, and respond to out-of-hours emergency call-outs.
