About the Role
Megastar Technical & Construction Company is a premier provider of quality construction services dedicated to driving innovation and efficiency across all projects. We are currently looking for a detail-oriented and driven Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic commercial team in Nigeria. In this role, you will play a crucial part in managing project finances, ensuring cost-effectiveness, and supporting the successful delivery of landmark construction projects.
Key Responsibilities- Provide reliable data input support for all ongoing construction projects.
- Prepare accurate quantity take-offs and cost estimates from engineering drawings and specifications.
- Assist in preparing comprehensive tender documentation and competitive bid submissions.
- Monitor project expenditures closely and maintain rigorous cost control throughout execution.
- Prepare interim valuations, payment certificates, and detailed financial reports.
- Evaluate subcontractor quotations and effectively manage subcontractor accounts.
- Track, assess, and manage project variations and claims efficiently.
- Assist in contract administration to ensure strict compliance with project requirements.
- Conduct regular cost reviews of all schedules of rates and market surveys for construction materials.
- Minimum of HND or BSc Degree in Quantity Surveying.
- Fully qualified Quantity Surveyor with a minimum of 5 years of relevant industry experience.
- Active registration or membership with the Nigerian Institute of Quantity Surveyors (NIQS) is strongly preferred.
- Strong proficiency in cost estimation, cost control, and standard construction contracts such as FIDIC and JCT.
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, communication, and reporting skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with familiarity in project planning tools like MS Project.
