About the Role
Adkan Services Nigeria Limited is a wholly indigenous construction company committed to nation-building through high-quality project delivery. We are currently seeking a competent and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic team of construction professionals. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in ensuring our projects achieve optimal financial performance, adherence to budgets, and exceptional value for money from inception to completion.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare detailed cost estimates, Bills of Quantities (BOQ), and comprehensive tender documentation.
- Conduct cost planning, budgeting, and financial forecasting for various construction projects.
- Analyze architectural and engineering drawings to prepare accurate quantity take-offs.
- Evaluate contractor and supplier quotations to provide strategic procurement recommendations.
- Monitor project expenditures closely to ensure strict compliance with approved budgets.
- Prepare interim valuations, variation orders, and final project accounts.
- Manage contract administration and ensure complete contractual compliance.
- Conduct feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses for prospective projects.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate cost risks throughout the entire project lifecycle.
- Collaborate effectively with architects, engineers, project managers, and contractors.
- Bachelor Degree or HND in Quantity Surveying or a related construction discipline.
- Minimum of 6 years of proven professional experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry.
- Demonstrated expertise in residential, commercial, or industrial construction projects.
- Strong working knowledge of construction contracts, procurement processes, and cost control techniques.
- Professional membership or registration with the Nigerian Institute of Quantity Surveyors (NIQS) or QSRBN is strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, construction cost management software, and ERP systems.
- Excellent numerical, analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
