About the Role
Geoplex Drillteq Limited, Nigeria's fastest-growing indigenous oilfield service company, is seeking a dedicated Quality Inspector to join our expanding team. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring that all downhole tools, equipment, and operational processes meet defined quality standards, strict client specifications, and vital regulatory requirements, thereby safeguarding our operational integrity across the upstream oil and gas sector.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct detailed inspections on downhole tools including MWD, LWD, wireline, slickline, and pressure control equipment to ensure compliance with technical specifications.
- Perform visual, dimensional, and non-destructive testing (NDT) inspections using standard industry tools and equipment.
- Verify that all equipment meets required quality, safety, and operational standards prior to field deployment.
- Interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and quality documentation to ensure accurate inspection processes.
- Identify defects, non-conformances, and deviations, and initiate necessary corrective and preventive actions.
- Prepare and maintain detailed inspection reports, test records, and comprehensive quality documentation.
- Ensure all inspection and measuring equipment are properly calibrated and fit for purpose.
- Monitor adherence to QHSE standards, company procedures, and specific client requirements.
- Support internal and external audits, ensuring all quality documentation remains accurate and up to date.
- Collaborate closely with engineering, workshop, and field teams to swiftly resolve quality-related issues.
- Ensure strict compliance with relevant industry standards such as API and ISO 9001:2015.
- HND or B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, or a closely related field.
- Proven hands-on experience inspecting downhole tools (MWD, LWD, wireline, slickline) and pressure control equipment.
- Proficiency with standard inspection tools and NDT equipment.
- Relevant professional certifications such as ASNT Level II, CSWIP 3.1 / CWI, or ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Systems.
- Strong understanding of quality control processes, inspection standards, and technical documentation.
