About the Role
Aiben Properties (AIBEN Investment and Properties Limited), a leading Nigerian real estate development and investment firm established in 2011, is seeking a dynamic and dedicated Experienced Building Engineer. In this vital role, you will play a key part in delivering our prestigious residential, commercial, and luxury resort developments primarily across Abuja and Lagos, ensuring the highest standards of structural integrity, safety, and quality.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and coordinate building construction activities on site to ensure flawless execution.
- Monitor construction work to guarantee strict compliance with approved drawings and specifications.
- Inspect construction materials and workmanship continuously to maintain uncompromising quality standards.
- Coordinate seamlessly with architects, engineers, contractors, consultants, and other key project stakeholders.
- Track project progress, material usage, labor deployment, and overall site activities.
- Identify potential construction issues promptly and recommend practical, cost-effective solutions.
- Enforce comprehensive compliance with health, safety regulations, and national building standards.
- Prepare detailed site reports and maintain meticulous project documentation.
- Assist in strategic project planning, scheduling, and cost control initiatives.
- Ensure all assigned projects are successfully completed within approved timelines and strict quality parameters.
- Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Building Engineering, Building Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in building construction, real estate development, or project management.
- Professional registration with COREN or another relevant industry body is an added advantage.
- Comprehensive knowledge of modern building construction methods, materials, specifications, and building regulations.
- Demonstrated experience in site supervision, quality control, and multidisciplinary construction coordination.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, AutoCAD, and industry-standard construction or project management software.
- Advanced ability to accurately interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.
- In-depth knowledge of health, safety, quality, and environmental (HSQE) standards.
- Exceptional problem-solving, communication, and project coordination skills.
