About the Role
Aiben Properties (AIBEN Investment and Properties Limited), a leading Nigerian real estate development and investment firm established in 2011, is looking for a dedicated and hands-on Experienced Mechanical Engineer (Technician) to join our growing team in Abuja and Lagos. In this dynamic role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the flawless operation, maintenance, and installation of mechanical systems across our residential, commercial, and luxury resort developments.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of essential mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and fire-fighting infrastructure.
- Read, interpret, and execute mechanical drawings, technical diagrams, and project specifications accurately.
- Carry out routine testing, thorough inspections, and rapid fault diagnosis of all mechanical systems on site.
- Ensure strict compliance with local mechanical codes, safety regulations, and high site standards.
- Collaborate effectively with engineers, contractors, and other project stakeholders to achieve seamless execution.
- Identify complex technical issues proactively and provide practical, cost-effective solutions.
- Assist in project planning, activity scheduling, and comprehensive site coordination.
- Maintain accurate records, daily reports, and complete technical documentation.
- Proven, verifiable practical experience in mechanical installation, repairs, and maintenance is the primary requirement.
- An Ordinary National Diploma (ND) or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is an added advantage but not strictly compulsory.
- Candidates from alternative fields of study or those without formal education, provided they possess strong, demonstrable hands-on experience, are strongly encouraged to apply.
- Possession of relevant professional technical certifications will be viewed as an added advantage.
