About the Role
Arete Wood Limited is a top distributor of wood-based panels and products in Nigeria, proudly serving as the exclusive distributor of Kronospan boards in the country. We supply high-quality materials to interior designers, architects, furniture makers, and construction companies. We are currently looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Control Officer to join our dynamic team and ensure our products consistently meet the highest industry standards.
Key Responsibilities- Inspect incoming materials and verify specifications, dimensions, colour, thickness, and overall condition.
- Conduct rigorous quality inspections during cutting, CNC machining, edge banding, and other crucial production stages.
- Verify dimensional accuracy against approved cutting lists and technical specifications.
- Identify, document, and report any defects and non-conformances promptly.
- Conduct final inspections of completed jobs to minimize rework and product rejection.
- Follow up on corrective actions and actively monitor recurring defects to implement lasting solutions.
- Maintain accurate quality inspection records, logs, and comprehensive reports.
- Collaborate closely with Production, Warehouse, Optimizer, and other relevant internal teams.
- HND or Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field of study.
- Previous experience in Quality Control within manufacturing, furniture production, woodworking, or a related industry is a strong advantage.
- Good understanding of precise measurements, technical specifications, and standard quality inspection procedures.
- Strong attention to detail, excellent documentation capabilities, and proven problem-solving skills.
