About the Role
Seven Up Bottling Company is a leading manufacturer of carbonated soft drinks in Nigeria, known for iconic brands like 7UP, Pepsi, and Teem. We are currently looking for a dynamic and results-driven Project Manager (Engineer) to join our engineering team. In this role, you will coordinate with various plants and departments during project implementation, conducting regular reviews to ensure milestones are met efficiently, safely, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure a safety-first culture and strict adherence to all internal and statutory safety norms.
- Coordinate with cross-discipline teams to keep all parties aligned with project requirements and tight schedules.
- Understand technical requirements of manufacturing equipment, including P&IDs and BOQs for Civil, Mechanical, Piping, and Electrical works.
- Liaise with plant teams regarding project requirements, stoppages, and compliance with local legal requirements.
- Monitor vendor contracts to prevent deviations, ensure timely procurement, and process vendor payments.
- Prepare comprehensive Gantt charts in collaboration with selected vendors using MS Projects.
- Track project risks continuously, prevent cost overruns, and escalate critical issues immediately to the Project Head.
- Provide daily updates and detailed weekly reports to management while coordinating site logistics with plant HR.
- Minimum of a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) or HND in Mechanical Engineering.
- 5 to 7 years of relevant hands-on experience in technical project engineering.
- At least 4 years of specific experience working within a beverage bottling or fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) company.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, and MS Projects for advanced scheduling.
- Demonstrated experience in budgeting, resource allocation, and people management.
- Sound knowledge of bottling operations, covering planning, manufacturing, quality, and environmental standards.
- Mandatory possession of a PMP certification or a recognized equivalent project management credential.
