About the Role
Ascentech Services Limited is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Control Officer to join our dynamic team in Nigeria. In this vital role, you will monitor production processes, raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods to ensure strict adherence to quality standards, food safety protocols, and GMP guidelines. You will play a crucial part in safeguarding brand integrity and ensuring that only the highest quality products reach our consumers.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor production floor operations, raw materials, and finished products for strict compliance with established quality benchmarks.
- Conduct routine sampling, physical inspections, and necessary chemical or microbiological tests.
- Ensure continuous compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), hygiene standards, HACCP, and food-safety regulations.
- Identify, document, isolate, and promptly escalate any non-conforming products or quality deviations.
- Maintain accurate inspection logs, testing data, and quality-control records while preparing comprehensive routine reports.
- Participate in root-cause investigations, corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), internal audits, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate closely with the Production and Quality Assurance teams to swiftly resolve emerging quality and food-safety issues.
- B.Sc. or HND in Microbiology, Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a closely related scientific discipline.
- Demonstrated experience in Quality Control, laboratory analysis, or production monitoring within the FMCG or food manufacturing sector.
- Working knowledge of sampling techniques, laboratory testing, GMP, HACCP, workplace hygiene, and quality documentation.
- Exceptional attention to detail, strong analytical capabilities, absolute integrity, and effective communication skills.
