About the Role

Tincan Island Container Terminal Limited (TICT) is redefining port and terminal operations in Nigeria through operational excellence, unmatched efficiency, and rigorous safety standards. Established in 2004, our multinational terminal is located at Tin-can Island Port, Apapa, Lagos. We are currently seeking a dynamic and strategic Supply Chain Manager to spearhead our procurement and logistics systems, structures, and policies, ensuring seamless operational support across the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement comprehensive procurement and logistics systems, structures, processes, and policies to strengthen operational efficiency.
  • Manage the logistics of spare parts delivery, liaising with suppliers, banks for Form M, LC processes, and clearing agents to expedite shipments.
  • Develop and manage the logistics budget and forecasts, maximizing sea freight over airfreight through anticipatory planning with technical teams.
  • Negotiate favorable contracts, establish minimum service-level agreements, and manage high-value vendor relationships to ensure optimal quality and cost savings.
  • Organize competitive tendering processes, prepare bid documents, and manage supplier evaluation databases in compliance with company regulations.
  • Ensure full compliance with Nigerian import regulations, customs and excise acts, and safety standards for all supply chain activities.
  • Lead, mentor, and evaluate the performance of the supply chain team while identifying training and development needs.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics Management, Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in supply chain, procurement, or logistics management, preferably within maritime, port operations, or heavy industries.
  • Possession of Safety Level 1 certification.
  • In-depth knowledge of Nigerian import regulations, customs procedures, clearing, and forwarding.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, particularly MS Excel, and enterprise resource planning software.
  • Exceptional leadership, negotiation, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
