About the Role

KCH Consumer Healthcare Limited, a leading global consumer healthcare company committed to world-class pharmaceutical manufacturing in Nigeria, is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented, and dynamic Quality Control Manager to join our growing team in Lagos. In this vital leadership role, you will oversee all quality control processes, ensure strict regulatory compliance as we establish our ECOWAS-compliant GMP plant, and drive continuous improvement across our operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead QC personnel responsible for testing, investigations, and method transfer activities to ensure full regulatory and company compliance.
  • Set strategic direction for the Quality Control Department and provide strong leadership for lot release, incoming quality, and lab investigations.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive Quality Management System (QMS) aligned with industry standards and regulations.
  • Oversee inspection and testing of raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods to meet rigorous quality specifications.
  • Manage change controls, CAPA reviews, and support planned or unplanned manufacturing and laboratory deviations.
  • Analyze quality data, metrics, and trends to identify root causes and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Collaborate with production, engineering, and supply chain teams to optimize product quality, reduce waste, and enhance process efficiency.
  • Conduct regular audits, write comprehensive performance reviews, and mentor QC professionals to foster high ethical and professional standards.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) Degree in a relevant scientific discipline.
  • 10 to 15 years of relevant work experience, with specific background as a Quality Control Manager in pharmaceutical companies or chemical manufacturing firms.
  • Strong working knowledge of Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001 or equivalent) and advanced QC methodologies.
  • Proven leadership experience in managing, mentoring, and developing high-performing quality control teams.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
