About the Role
EHA Clinics is a world-class primary healthcare service provider in Nigeria dedicated to bridging the gap between patients and quality medical services. We are currently seeking a dynamic and results-driven Assistant Manager, Laboratory and Diagnostics to deliver first-class managerial support, drive business growth, and lead our laboratory team toward international accreditation.
Key ResponsibilitiesPurpose and Business Operations:
- Perform business analysis of laboratory operations and lead service expansion initiatives.
- Manage External Quality Assurance programs and implement QMS principles aligned with ISO 15189 and JCI Ambulatory Standards.
- Setup and maintain the Lab Information Management System (LIMS) for specimen tracking, test results, and reporting.
- Drive revenue growth by acquiring new clients and ensuring effective market penetration.
Team Engagement and Compliance:
- Supervise laboratory scientists and technicians while assisting HR with recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding.
- Investigate patient complaints and non-conformities, taking prompt remedial action while maintaining professional, compassionate care.
- Ensure compliance with legal regulations, safety standards, and software maintenance via collaboration with the tech team.
Service Delivery and Quality Assurance:
- Oversee procurement, inventory management, vendor quotes, and reagent stock levels.
- Monitor equipment functionality, calibrations, quality control measures, and advanced troubleshooting.
- Draft, review, and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and prepare performance reports for executive review.
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Laboratory Science from an accredited university.
- Minimum of 3 years of working experience in a medical laboratory, clinic, or hospital setting.
- Certification from the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (MLSCN) with a current practicing license.
- Additional training and experience in molecular diagnostic techniques such as PCR.
- Relevant professional certifications will be an added advantage.
