About the Role
Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospitals Complex (OAUTHC) is a premier federal tertiary health institution dedicated to excellence in patient care, medical education, and cutting-edge research. We are currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Science Laboratory Technologist to contribute to our diagnostic and laboratory services. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting clinical workflows, conducting precise laboratory tests, and maintaining high standards of quality assurance within our world-class healthcare facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct routine and specialized laboratory tests accurately in accordance with established medical protocols.
- Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments to ensure optimal performance.
- Prepare biological samples, reagents, and media required for various scientific and diagnostic analyses.
- Maintain comprehensive and accurate records of all laboratory tests, results, and equipment maintenance logs.
- Adhere strictly to safety, health, and environmental sanitation standards to maintain a secure laboratory environment.
- Collaborate with medical doctors, researchers, and other healthcare professionals to support patient diagnosis and treatment.
- Candidates must possess a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Science Laboratory Technology from a recognized institution.
- Must provide evidence of completion, exemption, or exclusion from the mandatory National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) discharge.
- Demonstrated proficiency in laboratory procedures and safety protocols.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
