We are currently seeking a meticulous and uncompromising Quality Control Inspector to join our elite construction team in Nigeria. In this vital role, you will uphold our high standards for structural excellence, ensuring that every phase of construction meets rigorous quality benchmarks and safety codes.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the Inspection and Test Plan for all assigned works, maintaining accurate registers and hold-point sign-off records.
- Personally inspect all reinforcement preparation, including bar sizes, spacing, cover, lap lengths, and punching shear reinforcement prior to slab pours.
- Inspect service sleeve positions against architectural drawings and confirm correct installation before pours.
- Issue or withhold concrete pour authorizations, serving as the ultimate quality gatekeeper.
- Manage the concrete cube sampling and dispatch program, reviewing test results and overseeing formwork striking authorizations.
- Maintain the non-conformance register, tracking corrective actions and ensuring timely close-out confirmation.
- Coordinate material testing and produce comprehensive weekly quality control reports for the Construction Manager.
- Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in construction quality control, specifically focusing on reinforced concrete structures.
- Deep, technical knowledge of reinforcement inspection, flat slab construction quality control, and punching shear risk management.
- COREN registration is highly beneficial.
