About the Role
Addme Nutrition Limited is a rapidly growing Nigerian food and nutrition manufacturing company dedicated to producing safe, affordable, and high-quality food products for consumers nationwide. We specialize in the processing, packaging, and distribution of essential food items and seasoning products. We are currently looking for a diligent and proactive Quality Assurance / Quality Control Officer to join our dynamic production team in Nigeria. In this vital role, you will play a key part in safeguarding public health and consumer trust by ensuring that all raw materials, ongoing manufacturing processes, and finished goods strictly adhere to established food safety and quality benchmarks.
Key Responsibilities- Inspect raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished food products, performing rigorous quality tests according to approved company procedures and statutory specifications.
- Record, analyze, and report all inspection findings and laboratory test results accurately.
- Ensure strict adherence to statutory quality standards, regulatory requirements, GMP, ISO, HACCP, GLP, QMS, and FSSC frameworks.
- Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date quality records, technical reports, and regulatory documentation.
- Identify, isolate, and thoroughly investigate quality defects, process deviations, and product non-conformities.
- Recommend, implement, and track effective Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) to prevent recurrence.
- Monitor active production floors closely and actively support continuous quality improvement initiatives.
- Participate in internal and external quality audits, staff training sessions, and food safety awareness programs.
- Evaluate incoming materials and supplies, flagging any supplier quality concerns immediately.
- Assist the procurement team in comprehensive supplier evaluations and qualification activities.
- Bachelor's Degree or HND in Food Science, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Quality Management, or a closely related discipline.
- Relevant professional certifications in Quality Management or Food Safety are a distinct advantage.
- Demonstrated practical knowledge of quality assurance standards, laboratory testing, and factory inspection techniques.
- Familiarity with industry standards including HACCP, GMP, GLP, QMS, and FSSC.
- Minimum of 2 to 3 years of hands-on experience in Quality Control, Quality Assurance, or a compliance role.
- Prior working experience in the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) or food manufacturing sector is strongly preferred.
