About the Role
Sagar Vitaceuticals Nigeria Limited, a renowned leader in the Nigerian healthcare and pharmaceutical industry known for trusted household brands like Vitaclox and Vitacillin, is seeking a dedicated Quality Assurance Officer. Based at our ultra-modern manufacturing facility in Ikeja, Lagos, this role ensures that all production processes, cleanroom environments, and finished pharmaceutical products strictly comply with cGMP, WHO, NAFDAC, and international quality standards.
Key Responsibilities- Implement and enforce Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and quality protocols across all manufacturing operations.
- Review Batch Manufacturing Records (BMR), Batch Packaging Records (BPR), and analytical test results to authorize product release.
- Conduct routine In-Process Quality Assurance (IPQA) line clearances, operational inspections, and environmental monitoring checks.
- Investigate out-of-specification (OOS) results, product deviations, and customer complaints while developing effective Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).
- Assist with validation protocols, equipment qualification (IQ/OQ/PQ), and readiness for regulatory audits by bodies like NAFDAC and the WHO.
- Author, review, and maintain quality documentation, change controls, and SOPs while conducting staff training on cGMP standards.
- Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) or B.Sc. in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Industrial Chemistry, or related Life Sciences.
- 2 to 5 years of hands-on Quality Assurance experience within a regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing or healthcare production environment.
- Comprehensive working knowledge of NAFDAC regulations, WHO cGMP guidelines, and pharmaceutical validation frameworks.
- Strong analytical, root-cause investigation, and technical writing skills with meticulous attention to detail.
