About the Role
Dame Chops and Events is a dynamic and growing Nigerian enterprise located in Alimosho, Iyanapaja, Lagos, specializing in quality culinary equipment and food services. We are looking for a passionate and detail-oriented Food and Nutrition Scientist to join our innovative team. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in bringing new culinary products from conceptualization to market launch, ensuring they meet the highest standards of safety, quality, and consumer satisfaction across Nigeria.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the development of new food products from initial conceptualization through to final market launch.
- Organize, prepare, and ship sales samples to prospective clients and partners nationwide.
- Update comprehensive product information sheets to support sales preparation and accurate food labeling.
- Record, analyze, and thoroughly summarize complex research and development data.
- Coordinate independent laboratory testing to verify product safety, nutritional value, and quality.
- Adhere strictly to organizational quality standards, food safety regulations, and industry best practices.
- Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned by supervisory management.
- Relevant academic training, degree, and/or professional certifications as a Food Scientist or related field.
- Proven professional work experience as a Food Scientist or in a similar product development role.
- Demonstrated ability to work diligently in a laboratory environment for extended periods.
- Solid knowledge and practical understanding of data science applications in food research.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective cross-functional collaboration.
- Flexibility and willingness to travel overnight, work occasional night shifts, and handle weekend commitments for special projects.
