About the Role
Seven Up Bottling Company, a global icon in the beverage industry with a rich heritage of refreshment and quality, is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Quality Assurance Manager. In this pivotal role, you will be accountable for ensuring that our plant rigorously adheres to established quality protocols, driving sustainable practices, and delivering the highest quality products to our consumers across Nigeria.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure regional adherence to standards set by PCI and regulatory policies regarding good manufacturing processes.
- Liaise with PCI and government officials concerning product quality, manufacturing processes, packaging, and consumer interactions.
- Advise leadership on compliance with new government regulations on quality and manufacturing activities.
- Conduct regular operational surveys to improve product quality and actively reduce manufacturing wastages.
- Maintain comprehensive regional databases for plant and product performance metrics.
- Provide management with timely, accurate reports regarding quality performance both regionally and in the trade market.
- Prepare strategic programs to achieve long-term, sustainable product quality across the regions.
- Drive the success of all quality assurance audits, including AIB, QAS, and GFIS.
- Manage quality control efforts to guarantee strict conformity with company standards.
- Identify and lead initiatives on product and process quality, as well as cost management opportunities for productivity gains.
- Lead risk assessment analyses and manage non-conforming products to minimize losses and eliminate future occurrences.
- Bachelor Degree (B.Sc.) or HND in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or Food Science and Technology.
- Minimum of 5 years of working experience in the Carbonated Soft Drink (CSD) industry, with at least 2 years in a management-level quality control or assurance function within food and beverage.
- In-depth knowledge of bottling operations, planning, manufacturing, environment, engineering, health, and safety.
- Proven experience in budgeting, operational planning, and people management.
- Strong understanding of current World-Class (WC) manufacturing methodologies, HQSE modalities, codes, GMP, and GHK (5S) standards.
