About the Role

Heritage Energy Operational Services Limited (HEOSL), operator of the flagship OML 30 asset in the Niger Delta, is looking for a dynamic Professional Technical Planner on a contract basis. In this role, you will contribute directly to the OML 30 portfolio by identifying short- and long-term production improvement opportunities and leveraging data analytics for strategic business decisions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute technical input to the Annual Work Program and Budget, coordinating cross-functional teams to drive business operations and best practices.
  • Manage short, medium, and long-term oil and gas production forecasting in collaboration with geoscientists, production engineers, and reservoir engineers.
  • Perform technical and commercial evaluation of petroleum reserves and resources, supporting the creation of Reserves Support Packages.
  • Generate and maintain the Annual Reservoir Performance Report to communicate status, explain variations, and capture mid-term corrective actions.
  • Identify value-generating opportunities for production optimization, enhanced ultimate recovery, and cost reduction.
  • Track production deferment and perform sensitivity analyses to guide operational management decisions.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with Joint Venture partners, representing HEOSL at external meetings.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or a related technical discipline.
  • Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in the oil and gas industry.
  • Practical expertise in business planning, production forecasting, reservoir management, and resource volume estimation.
  • Proficiency in data visualization and analytics tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
  • Strong analytical, mathematical, and strategic problem-solving skills with excellent business acumen.
  • Exceptional planning, organizational capabilities, and the ability to thrive under tight deadlines.
