About the Role
Eterna Plc, a leading energy solutions provider in West Africa and the exclusive licensee for Castrol products, is looking for a meticulous Quality Assurance & Control Officer to join our dynamic team in Apapa, Lagos. In this vital role, you will ensure that all manufactured and distributed petroleum products consistently meet and exceed strict customer, statutory, and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Perform accurate laboratory analysis on various petroleum products including PMS, AGO, and specialized lubricants.
- Document all laboratory analysis results meticulously and maintain an up-to-date inventory of testing reagents.
- Collect reliable product samples directly on board ships for comprehensive laboratory testing.
- Supervise the secure sealing of loaded petroleum product tankers and packaged lubricant products.
- Participate actively in the proper storage, identification, and systematic retrieval of laboratory reference samples.
- Ensure strict adherence to established quality systems, processes, procedures, and company policies while recommending continuous improvements.
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Laboratory Science, Chemistry, or a closely related discipline.
- Minimum of 1 year of hands-on experience in petroleum or lubricant product testing utilizing standard test methods such as ASTM and NIS/SON.
- Strong analytical mindset with a keen eye for detail and exceptional documentation skills.
