About the Role

Liquid Bulk Limited is a fully indigenous energy company specializing in the procurement, storage, marketing, and distribution of petroleum products. We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented QHSE Manager to lead the development and implementation of our Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment management systems. In this role, you will ensure full compliance with regulatory standards while fostering a robust safety culture across our operations in Nigeria.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the implementation of HSE policies and procedures to achieve zero Lost Time Injuries in alignment with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards.
  • Conduct regular site inspections, internal audits, and ensure strict compliance with NUPRC, NIMASA, and Federal Ministry of Environment regulations.
  • Perform Job Hazard Analysis and comprehensive risk assessments for all operational activities, implementing effective mitigation plans.
  • Lead investigations into near-misses and accidents, delivering thorough root-cause reports and corrective action plans to management.
  • Coordinate safety inductions, regular Toolbox Talks, and specialized QHSE training programs for employees and contractors.
  • Oversee waste management protocols to minimize environmental impact and maintain positive liaison with regulatory agencies.
  • Prepare detailed weekly and monthly QHSE performance reports to drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science or Higher National Diploma in Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related technical field.
  • 5 to 8 years of active QHSE experience within the oil and gas, logistics, or maritime sectors.
  • Mandatory professional safety certifications with active membership in ISPON or recognized safety bodies.
  • In-depth knowledge of Nigerian oil and gas safety regulations and maritime compliance standards.
  • Proven leadership capabilities with the ability to manage safety officers and cultivate a safety-first culture.
  • Must be based in Port Harcourt or willing to relocate.
