About the Role
Sterling Oil Exploration & Energy Production Company Limited (SEEPCO) is a major player in petroleum exploration and production, committed to operational excellence and safety in Nigeria. We are currently seeking a dedicated and thorough QC Supervisor with extensive pipeline construction experience to join our dynamic team and ensure the highest standards of quality control across our mechanical inspection operations.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee mechanical inspection activities specifically for piping and pipeline construction projects.
- Prepare, verify, and execute quality control and inspection test plans in alignment with construction schedules.
- Apply deep knowledge of engineering, manufacturing, and construction for oil and gas equipment, piping, and pipelines.
- Ensure compliance with key industry codes including API 1104, ASME B31.4, ASME B31.8, ASME Sec IX, and ASME Sec V.
- Guarantee that appropriate QA/QC standards, procedures, and specifications are actively maintained during execution.
- Conduct incoming material inspections to verify that equipment and materials are correctly received, stored, preserved, calibrated, handled, and traceable.
- Review and prepare welder and welding procedure qualifications with an in-depth understanding of pipeline welding standards.
- Possess a Bachelor's Degree or HND in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
- Minimum of 8 to 10 years of proven quality control (QC) experience, with a strong focus on gas or crude pipeline projects.
- Comprehensive understanding of non-destructive testing (NDT) methods and quality management systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective reporting and stakeholder collaboration.
