About the Role
Iron Products Industries Ltd. (IPI) has been a trusted leader in steel fabrication and structural engineering across Nigeria for over 50 years. We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and driven QA/QC Officer to join our dynamic quality assurance team and help maintain our rigorous manufacturing standards.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough incoming, in-process, and final product inspections to guarantee adherence to approved specifications.
- Inspect dimensions, welding integrity, fabrication processes, finishing, and overall structural quality.
- Identify, isolate, and document any non-conforming products and materials promptly.
- Prepare comprehensive inspection and quality reports for management review.
- Collaborate closely with Production and Engineering teams to swiftly resolve quality issues.
- Monitor the implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Maintain accurate quality records, logs, and compliance documentation.
- Support both internal and external quality audits.
- Ensure strict compliance with the company Quality Management System (QMS) and ISO 9001:2015 requirements.
- Bachelor's Degree or HND in Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Production Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of proven QA/QC experience within a heavy manufacturing, steel fabrication, or oil and gas environment.
- Certification in Quality Control/Assurance (e.g., ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor, NDT certifications, or equivalent) will be an added advantage.
- Deep understanding of welding standards, structural steel fabrication, and non-destructive testing methods.
