About the Role
Paystack is transforming online payments across Africa by building modern infrastructure that simplifies commerce for businesses of all sizes. We are looking for an ambitious and visionary QA Lead to champion our quality engineering standards and ensure the flawless delivery of our platform.
Key Responsibilities- Own and drive the overall quality and test automation strategy across the Paystack platform.
- Ensure the appropriate tests, tooling, infrastructure, and test environments are in place and running reliably.
- Lead, mentor, and coach a high-calibre team of QA and automation engineers, handling hiring, onboarding, and ongoing development.
- Partner with product and engineering leadership to embed testing early in the development lifecycle.
- Increase the visibility of product quality by reporting on coverage, pipeline health, blockers, and business impact to key stakeholders.
- Act as an internal consultant, empowering cross-functional engineering teams to implement effective end-to-end testing.
- Extensive experience using modern test automation tools across web, mobile, and APIs in high-scale environments.
- Proven track record of defining and driving QA and automation strategy at scale.
- Demonstrated experience leading, mentoring, and growing high-performing technical engineering teams.
- Familiarity with payments, fintech, or other high-reliability and high-scale technical domains.
- Strong knowledge of CI/CD gating, performance testing, observability, and AI-driven workflow automation.
- Excellent communication, project management, and organizational skills.
