About the Role

We are looking for a dedicated Mid-Level QA Engineer to take ownership of our testing lifecycle, ensuring the delivery of robust, high-performing web, mobile, and API applications.
Key ResponsibilitiesAs a QA Engineer at CapitalSage, you will drive quality standards from initial requirement analysis to final release validation. Your core duties include:
- Design comprehensive test plans, risk profiles, and coverage matrices based on user stories and PRDs.
- Execute complex functional, integration, system, regression, and exploratory testing across multiple platforms.
- Automate API regression suites using Postman and build scalable UI automation components with Playwright or Cypress.
- Plan and execute load and stress tests using Apache JMeter to identify architectural bottlenecks.
- Perform root-cause analysis, document technical bug reports in Jira, and lead defect triage meetings.
- Mentor junior engineers, review team test cases, and champion shift-left QA practices across Agile teams.
The ideal candidate possesses a strong blend of manual testing expertise and practical test automation skills:
- 3 to 5 years of professional experience in software quality assurance with a focus on end-to-end testing.
- Proficiency in UI automation tools such as Playwright or Cypress.
- Hands-on experience with API testing using Postman and performance testing using Apache JMeter.
- Solid understanding of Git-based version control and CI/CD pipelines, specifically GitHub.
- Strong critical thinking, edge-case discovery, and technical documentation skills.
- Exceptional collaboration abilities with experience mentoring junior team members in a fast-paced environment.
