About the Role
Flutterwave is on a mission to power a new wave of prosperity across Africa by providing the foundational payment infrastructure for the digital economy. We are looking for a driven and passionate Frontend Engineer to join our growing team in Lagos and help shape the future of fintech.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement responsive, high-performance web applications using modern JavaScript frameworks, specifically Vue.js.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, UI/UX designers, and backend engineers to translate requirements into exceptional user experiences.
- Participate in the complete software development lifecycle, ensuring adherence to high code quality, scalability, and security standards.
- Optimize applications for maximum speed across multiple devices and browsers while conducting rigorous code reviews.
- Ensure compliance with data privacy policies and industry best practices to protect customer and company information.
- 3 to 9 years of professional frontend engineering experience, ideally within the fintech or financial services sector.
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript and modern front-end frameworks like Vue.js, with TypeScript being an advantage.
- Demonstrated experience in responsive web design, mobile-first development, and performance optimization.
- Familiarity with version control systems, front-end build tools, and unit testing frameworks.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities combined with strong communication skills for effective cross-functional collaboration.
