We are currently seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Purchasing Officer to join our professional administration team. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring our clinical and support teams have the necessary equipment, materials, and supplies to deliver exceptional care to our patients. Key Responsibilities
  • Process purchase requisitions and orders within established purchasing periods and budget guidelines.
  • Collaborate with the Store Officer to establish effective re-order levels and maintain optimal inventory.
  • Invite, assess, and recommend supplier tenders, bids, quotations, and proposals.
  • Establish and negotiate favorable contract terms, conditions, and pricing while maintaining strong supplier relationships.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of goods ordered, received, and priced, alongside detailed purchasing reports.
  • Work closely with the administrative department to determine procurement needs, quality standards, and delivery requirements.
  • Monitor contract performance, including delivery schedules, receipt verification, warranties, and insurance compliance.
  • Analyze market trends and delivery systems to assess current and future material availability and merchandise costs.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Procurement, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 to 4 years of proven experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain roles, preferably within the healthcare sector.
  • Strong working knowledge of purchasing policies, contract management, and negotiation best practices.
  • Exceptional analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build cooperative working relationships.
