About the Role
Leprosy and Tuberculosis Relief Initiative Nigeria (LTR) invites qualified, independent, and experienced audit firms to submit proposals for the provision of external audit services in Jos, Plateau State. This engagement aims to provide an objective assessment of our financial statements, internal controls, and compliance with regulatory and donor requirements to ensure transparency and institutional strengthening.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct an independent audit of the organisation’s financial statements and accounting records.
- Review financial transactions, supporting documents, bank records, ledgers, payroll, and procurement records.
- Assess the adequacy and effectiveness of internal financial controls and verify income, expenditure, assets, and liabilities.
- Identify material misstatements, financial risks, or control weaknesses.
- Prepare and submit a comprehensive independent audit report and a management letter outlining key observations and practical recommendations.
- Legal registration as an audit or accounting firm in Nigeria with valid professional licensing.
- Membership in relevant professional bodies such as ICAN or ANAN.
- Demonstrated experience in auditing non-profit organisations, donor-funded projects, or healthcare institutions.
- Evidence of tax compliance, strong financial reporting knowledge, and a declaration of independence.
- Initial one-year engagement with the possibility of renewal based on satisfactory performance and organizational need.
