About the Role

The Centre for Social Cohesion, Peace and Empowerment (CENSCOPE) is seeking a dedicated and dynamic Project Officer to serve as the core delivery engine for our Malala Fund-supported project. Headquartered in Maiduguri, Borno State, CENSCOPE is a national non-profit organization committed to promoting self-sustainability, equality, and social justice. In this role, you will lead the day-to-day implementation of activities, field coordination, training facilitation, and compliance follow-through across seven target Local Government Areas to advance Gender-Responsive Education Budgeting (GREB) and secure educational access for married, pregnant, and parenting girls.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement and coordinate project activities across assigned LGAs in strict alignment with the approved workplan.
  • Facilitate comprehensive training sessions for government officials and budget monitors, alongside driving stakeholder engagements.
  • Support baseline and monitoring data collection utilizing survivor-centred, disability-inclusive methodologies.
  • Coordinate essential field logistics and participate in pre-mission security briefings alongside the Project Manager.
  • Track activity-level compliance and promptly route any incident reports through established safeguarding channels.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in development studies, education, social sciences, or a closely related field.
  • 2 to 3 years of demonstrable project implementation experience within humanitarian or development settings in Northeast Nigeria.
  • Proven field experience operating in hard-to-reach or high-security LGAs, coupled with a willingness to travel regularly.
  • Fluency in English, with strong proficiency in Hausa and/or Kanuri strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with digital data-collection tools such as KoboToolbox or ODK, and prior experience in advocacy or education programming.
