About the Role
Amaiden Energy Nigeria Limited is a premier technical services provider in the Nigerian oil, gas, and facilities management sector. We are currently seeking a dynamic and dedicated Project Mechanical Engineer to join our Facilities Management and Administration team on an in-house basis. In this role, you will serve as the primary mechanical engineering authority, providing technical leadership across the entire lifecycle of our projects—from initial planning and design to construction, supervision, commissioning, and final handover. Key Responsibilities- Lead the development, review, and validation of mechanical designs, calculations, specifications, equipment datasheets, and Bills of Quantities.
- Oversee mechanical systems including HVAC, plumbing, fire water systems, piping, and building services installations.
- Supervise mechanical construction activities to ensure strict compliance with approved drawings, quality standards, and HSE regulations.
- Conduct site inspections, identify non-conformances, resolve technical queries, and coordinate multidisciplinary project interfaces.
- Support project planning, budgeting, constructability reviews, and technical bid evaluations using tools like Microsoft Project and Primavera.
- Provide critical engineering support during installation, testing, pre-commissioning, commissioning, and facility handover.
- Validate contractor as-built drawings, operation and maintenance manuals, and comprehensive handover documentation.
- Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant equivalent from a recognized tertiary institution.
- Possess 3 to 6 years of solid professional experience in engineering consultancy, construction, facilities management, or the oil and gas sector.
- Demonstrated expertise in mechanical design, project planning, site supervision, and contractor management.
- Active professional registration with COREN and corporate membership in the Nigerian Society of Engineers will be a strong advantage.
- Proficiency in project management software such as Microsoft Project and Primavera.
