About the Role
CARE International is seeking a dedicated Project Manager for RESILAC 2, a multi-country resilience-building program. You will provide strategic managerial oversight and technical expertise to strengthen climate change adaptation, livelihood improvements, and community resilience across our project portfolio. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on vulnerable communities while working alongside passionate development professionals.
Key Responsibilities- Provide managerial oversight and technical guidance to the RESILAC 2 project team on climate change, livelihoods, and resilience activities
- Assess technical assistance needs and strengthen team capacity in climate change and livelihood programming
- Coordinate with Country Consortium Leaders to ensure timely, quality project implementation
- Support the design and updating of Detailed Implementation Plans for field activities
- Represent RESILAC 2 in relevant forums and coordinate with government, private sector, and key stakeholders
- Ensure efficient resource utilization, compliance with AFD and EU regulations, and adherence to CARE standards
- Facilitate regular monitoring, reviews, and comprehensive reporting to the Regional Office
- Oversee staff performance measurement using KPIs and provide supportive supervision to direct reports
- Monitor best practices, document learning, and support operational research and evaluations
- Contribute to CARE's resource mobilization efforts
- Advanced university degree in Climate Change, Agribusiness, Development, or related Social Science
- 8+ years of relevant experience with international NGOs
- Minimum 4 years of management experience
- Proven experience managing partner organizations
- Strong knowledge of multisectoral resilience-building programs (desired)
- Fluency in local languages such as Hausa or Kanuri (advantageous)
- Demonstrated integrity, team-building ability, results orientation, and customer focus
